This interactive workshop is a perfect opportunity to try your hand at blending your own wine. An ideal activity if you are interested in learning a little more about different wine varietals and how to blend them together. The workshop begins with a short cellar tour and introduction of the different wine varietals and then it is over to you to work your magic. It is an ideal for any group who enjoy wine and want to have some fun. It can be adapted to make it as competitive as you wish! The workshop lasts approximately 2 hours.

The makings of a great wine begin in the vineyards and what better way to learn about the ‘terroir’ and its influence on the wine than on a guided walk. You will stop and taste the wine directly from the vineyard it came from. Along the way you will also sample local specialties to compliment your wine. An easy and informative walk that lasts 2 hours.
Experience a tutored Tapas tasting where you will learn about the wines, gastronomy, culture and history of this fantastically diverse region. The tasting incorporates a selection of eight wines from across the entire Languedoc-Roussillon region. Each wine is partnered with local, seasonal and home made tapas dishes, to highlight the wine and the quality of the produce found here. During lunch or dinner you will not only be taken on a gastronomic tour of the region but you will learn how to taste like a pro and how to analyse the relationship between wine and food. You will also learn how to shop for wines to suit your palate and take home recipes of many of the dishes sampled.
Right on the banks of the Canal du Midi learn about traditional techniques, timeless methods and simple tips to create traditional French dishes with a modern twist.
The cooking class includes tuition, ingredients, recipes, an “apero” and 3 course lunch with 3 paired wines. Children over 10 years are welcome. Minimum 4 cooks and maximum 8. Maximum 8 people for companion lunch
While one group learn to prepare a stunning French starter, the other can participate in a wine tasting or blending activity here at Chateau Canet! After 2 hours, the groups changeover. Then everyone can re-group to enjoy stylish canapés and a 3 course meal.
