Victoria Lemstra-Bake

Victoria loves to make people feel “at home on holiday”. She fine-tuned this skill during sixteen years working for the luxury travel company Butterfield & Robinson at their European office in Beaune, France.

From tour guide, she rose to become the Director of European Operations, a position she held for over ten years. A Dutch father, a mother from New Zealand and with family spread across the globe Victoria has hospitality in her genes! A childhood spent in Thailand and Spain and an education spanning several continents from England to Canada to Mexico has resulted in her understanding exactly how important it is to feel comfortable in an unfamiliar place. She looks forward to making you feel at home at ‘Chez Canet’.

Floris Lemstra

Floris Lemstra

On any given day, Floris can be found blending wine in the cellar, behind his desk in the office, meeting his importer in Tokyo or uncorking bottles for a tasting somewhere in the world.

His preference however is to be sharing a bottle of Chateau Canet “Les Evangiles” with his guests at the domaine. Born in Holland, Floris started coming to France as a young boy when his parents bought a farm near Limoges: a love affair with France started. In the early nineties he came to Beaune to pursue his passion for wine and spent the better part of his working life in there, in the heart of the Burgundian wine industry. He met his wife, Victoria, in the vineyards of Meursault and their two children Oliver and Charlotte were born in the Hospices de Beaune. They all moved to Carcassonne in 2006 to begin their adventure at Chateau Canet.

Nathalie Leclercq

Nathalie Leclercq

Nathalie, ‘regisseuse’ or estate manager, looks after the daily management of the Domain. As an oenologist, Nathalie has been making wine at Chateau Canet since 2013 and part of the winemaking team, along with Floris and Pierre, she adds a touch of elegance to our wines.

Pierre Estival

Pierre manages daily operations between the vineyard, the cellar and the bottling line. As a certified ‘oenologue’ he joins Nathalie and Floris as the masterminds behind the Chateau Canet wines.

Emilie Dias

Emilie Dias

While the rest of us are busy in the vineyards or the cellar, the cottages or in one of our export markets, Emilie, our accountant, manages the books and makes sure the numbers add up.

Sandrine Gamblin

Sandrine joined the team as our commercial assistant and makes sure that on the day of bottling we have all the dry good we need, bottles, corks, labels… She is the go to person for all our export clients around the world!

Lila Benhammouda

Lila is our always smiling governess who ensure the comfort and cleanliness of our holiday cottages. Her attention to detail will not go unnoticed and she is sure to make your gite feel like home during your stay at Canet!

Jean-Vincent Dautrey

Maintenance on an old place like Chateau Canet is a never ending story. You add to that all the plans and ideas for improvements and you have the busiest job on the Domain. Jean-Vincent keeps Chateau Canet functioning and looking good at all times!

David Pinto

David Pinto

David joined the Chateau Canet team in 2012 and through hard work has grown to become our production manager. He is the hands on man for our bottling line; a sophisticated machine that he manages with ‘delicatesse’ and efficiency.

Colette Cauchois

Colette is the cheerful face you will see at the end of the bottling line. She checks every bottle before safely packaging them away ready to be sent around the world.

Gilles Sagnes

Gilles joined Château Canet in 2018, bringing valuable experience to our cellar. He looks after the wines on a day to day basis and makes sure they are ready for bottling when the moment arrives.

Freddy Delval

Freddy, the newest member of the Chateau Canet team is ready to tend the vines comes rain or shine. He is most comfortable behind  the steering wheel of a tractor!
